Job description

We Energies, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Office Assistant II in our Milwaukee, Wisconsin location. This position is represented by L2150.

Job Responsibilities

REPOST DUE TO 90 DAY TIME FRAME. PREVIOUS APPLICANTS NEED NOT REAPPLY.

The Office Assistant II,  provides intermediate administrative support to office operations including typing/word processing, answering the telephone, opening and sorting mail, and greeting internal/external visitors to all divisions of the company.  Responsibilities include using advanced office computer software applications. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
  • For positions in some locations, applicants must comply with DOT Part 199 Pipeline drug and alcohol testing requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to handle numerous tasks, pay attention to detail, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Retention documentation oversight and filing
  • Tracking and scheduling of documents
  • Process employee timesheets
  • Track, report & schedule testing / anniversaries /  training required for staff
  • Data entry into specific business unit application programs.
  • Union contract familiarity
  • Timesheet administration
Testing Requirements

Basic Clerical Aptitude test (BCAB):Ability to classify information according to preset rules; spelling and grammar; basic mathematics; filing and sorting information. 

Basic Data Entry (BDE): Entering data from paper copy onto fixed-formatted screens. 

Basic Keyboarding - Typing (BKEY): Speed and accuracy typing from paper copy. SPEED OF 41 WORDS PER MINUTE IS REQUIRED. 

End Date: 08/11/2026 

Minimum Posting Range:  $17.75 

Maximum Posting Range:  $29.58 

The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs.  At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
