Job description

Job Duties: Design, develop, troubleshoot and/or test/QA software. As a member of the software engineering division, apply knowledge of software architecture to perform tasks associated with developing, debugging, or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and/or suggest improvements to the architecture. May telecommute. (385.26280)

Employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related technical field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a software developer-related occupation. Position requires:

1. Developing source code for software components in accordance with software requirement specifications, functional and technical design documents, software engineering best practices and technical debt;

2. High level programming languages including Java, Python, Javascript and Typescript;

3. Java (Collections, Multi-Threading, Serialization, Exception Handling, and Generics), Data Structures and Algorithms, Spring and Java Platform, and Enterprise Edition (Java EE);

4. Microservices, RESTful web services, Junit, Apache Maven, Python, JavaScript, CI/CD (Continuous Integration and Delivery), Docker, Typescript, IntelliJ, and Git (Bitbucket);

5. UI frameworks such as ReactJS and UI design patterns including MVC, Component-Based Architecture, and Higher Order Components for building responsive and scalable user interfaces;

6. Microservice design patterns and service-to-service communication protocols;

7. Building pipelines and methods utilizing CI/CD (Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery) to deploy change items to target environments - production and non-production;

8. Developing and maintaining large-scale low latency high throughput distributed systems;

9. Integrating application or APIs with cloud services and tools on Oracle Cloud, AWS,  GCP, or Azure;

10. Relational and non-relational databases such as Oracle/MSSQL, Postgres, and DynamoDB;

11. Application performance optimization techniques including caching frequently accessed data, optimizing database queries, minimizing network requests, image optimization, lazy loading, code optimization, profiling to identify bottlenecks, monitoring performance metrics, utilizing CDNs (Content Delivery Networks), and load balancing;

12. VPNs, load balancing, DNS and other computer networking concepts;

13. IaaS tools such as Terraform to automate infrastructure deployment and management;

14. Network security, Identity and Access Management (IAM), encryption and compliance standards, including protocols such as LDAP/ OAuth 2.0, SAML, TLS, and SSL for secure authentication, authorization, and data protection;

15. Designing and developing RESTful web services in accordance with API consistency guidelines;

16. High-level and low-level applications system design, design reviews, development estimation, test plans and test plan reviews, demonstrations, and status meetings as part of SDLC;

17. Information storage and retrieval concepts, including B-tree indexing, hash indexing, and full-text search algorithms for optimizing search query performance and ensuring efficient data retrieval; and

18. Automated unit testing, integration testing, and performance/load testing using tools such as JUnit, TestNG, Selenium, and JMeter.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $143,395 to $158,999 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and/or equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
