The Pre Purchase Experience Platform team at Walmart delivers a seamless shopping experience to millions globally. This collaborative group includes Engineering, UX, Product Management, Business, and Analytics professionals who rapidly develop and iterate on platform services powering Homepage, Content Pages, Search, Browse, Deals, and Item pages across web and mobile. The team focuses on high-performing front-end solutions, integrating advanced features such as Virtual Try-On and Generative AI. Continuous experimentation, innovation, and customer feedback drive the development of scalable, reliable products that enhance the top-of-the-funnel shopping journey.
  What you'll do:
  • Lead delivery of scoped features and models through collaborative engineering teams, ensuring alignment with platform and system objectives.
  • Develop, test, and maintain high-quality, efficient code across NodeJS, TypeScript , Rust  supporting full software lifecycle and CI/CD processes.
  • Integrate AI/ML components and leverage generative AI tools to enhance software capabilities and development efficiency.
  • Participate in solution design, conducting code reviews and applying best practices for scalable, secure, and maintainable systems.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements and measurable outcomes.
  • Monitor application performance, support defect resolution, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Mentor peers and contribute to knowledge sharing and engineering excellence.

  What you'll bring:
  • Hands-on coding experience with NodeJS, Typescript, Rust
  • Fundamental Web development skills (Core understanding of the web, services and how things integrate). Cookies, headers, server to server communication understanding is critical
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and be able to articulate complex technical concepts in an approachable way for broad audiences.
  • Experience in working with GraphQL using NodeJS would be a plus.
