Job description

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking dependable and detail-oriented Housekeepers to support daily operations at a remote camp on the North Slope of Alaska. This role is responsible for maintaining clean, sanitary, and comfortable living and common areas for camp residents. Housekeepers play an important role in ensuring a safe, welcoming, and professional camp environment. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, and comfortable working long hours in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

  • Work Location: Remote Camp, North Slope, Alaska
  • Rotational Schedule: 3 weeks on/3 weeks off or 2 weeks on/2 weeks off; varies by job site
  • Work shifts: 12 hours/day (40 hrs straight time + 44 hrs OT per work week).
  • Travel: Flights between Anchorage and the job site are arranged and paid for by the company
  • Housing & Meals: Included (free)

JOB DUTIES

  • Clean and service guest rooms, offices, and common areas
  • Make beds and change linens and towels
  • Clean and sanitize bathrooms, showers, and restrooms
  • Vacuum, sweep, mop, and dust
  • Empty trash and dispose of waste properly
  • Keep hallways, offices, and common areas clean and organized
  • Replenish supplies such as toiletries, paper products, and cleaning materials
  • Follow established cleaning schedules, safety procedures, and sanitation standards
  • Report maintenance issues or safety concerns to supervision
  • Work as part of a team to meet daily cleaning expectations in a fast-paced environment
  • Follow company safety policies and North Slope camp rules
  • Support other housekeeping or camp service duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
  • Must speak and understand English
  • Ability to work rotational schedules with extended time away from home
  • Ability to live in a camp or dormitory-style setting, including sharing a room if required
  • Reliable access to a smartphone capable of running apps for scheduling,
    timekeeping (clocking in/out), shift communications, and time-off requests.
  • Must pass pre-employment screening (drug test, criminal background check, and a post-offer fitness for duty test).

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND EXPECTATIONS

  • Work is performed indoors in a remote camp setting
  • Ability to remain on your feet for long shifts and perform repetitive physical tasks, including walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting.
  • Must be comfortable living and working in a remote location with shared housing accommodations and communal facilities
  • Teamwork, reliability, and a positive attitude are essential
  • Strict adherence to safety, work procedures, and conduct standards
