This is a FlexSteel position and is located in Baytown, TX
Rotating 2 weeks on day shift 2 weeks on night shift.
Hours: 7am- 7pm and 7pm-7am
Employees can be on any of these shift schedules, candidates need to be comfortable with all:
1. 108 hours per pay period : 1 week- Mon-Fri 2-week Mon- Thurs = 108 hours -- Repeat - Weekends off
2. 96 hours per pay period : 2 days on- 2 days off- 3 days on- 2 days off- 3 days on- 2 days off-- Repeat (Every other weekend off every 4 weeks) = 96 hours per pay period

The Level 1 Respool Operator is responsible for operating or supporting the operation of production equipment and processes related to manufacturing flexible pipe.
  • The purpose of this position is to operate, or support the operation of, production equipment and perform processes related to manufacturing flexible pipe.
  • Respool Operators participate in a structured on-the-job training program to develop basic skills through the completion of competency modules and hands-on training.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Follows all safety protocols and quality procedures.
  • Reports to and supports the Lead Operator and Supervisor.
  • Assists in equipment setup, operation, and material handling.
  • Maintains a clean work environment and completes assigned tasks.
  • Completes required documentation and uses ERP scanning system.
  • Performs final packaging on reels and coils.
  • Begins training on HCR platform operation and heavy forklift use.
  • Completes Respool New Employee Orientation and Basic Knowledge Training Competency Short Service Employee (SSE) Training Competency Program (Module A), Basic Skills Competency Operator Basic Skills Hand Tools & Documentation Competency Program (Module 1 Part 1), Basic Equipment Competency Operator Basic Equipment Competency Program (Module 1 Part 2), Reel to Reel Operator Competency Program (Module 2), Reel to Reel Quality Inspection Competency Program (Module 4).
