Certified Nursing Assistant

Stoughton Health has an excellent opportunity for a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our Geriatric Psychiatry team on a Part-Time basis. The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for administering direct patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse and/or other qualified staff. This position may also perform general clerical duties to ensure the smooth operation of the unit.

Essential Functions:

  • Assumes direct patient care responsibilities as assigned by the Registered Nurse and/or other qualified staff.
  • Assists patients in ADLs in an effective and timely manner
  • Ensures patients' safety
  • Performs clerical duties to assist in the smooth operation of the unit
  • Participates in continued personal growth and development
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested

Position Requirements:

  • Successful completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant training program
  • High School Graduate or Equivalent
  • Prefer previous experience in a hospital and/or healthcare setting
  • BLS certification within 90 days of hire
  • Non-violent crisis intervention or workplace violence training every two years on a rolling calendar
  • Basic Computer Skills are expected for this position
  • Beginning Skills in Microsoft Office Suite – Able to perform basic things such as opening a document, change font, save a document, write a letter.

Work Shift:

  • Part Time,.5 FTE
  • 20 hours per week
  • Scheduled Days: Variable Days
  • Week Hours: variable pm hours during the week (between 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm)
  • Every Other Weekend - 7:00am - 7:30pm
  • Every 3rd Holiday
