Perianesthesia Nurse - 2-3 days/week Peds Dental

AAC Southwest

Austin, TX • On-site

Full-time

Posted 24 days ago

Job description

Ambulatory Anesthesia Care has helped create a safe, effective, and financially viable office-based anesthesia model that's been replicated across the country. We're proud to be growing our office-based anesthesia roots in Austin, TX, and we're looking for skilled, compassionate pre/intra/post-op Perianesthesia RNs to join our team supporting pediatric dental procedures in our Austin office-based facilities, 2–3 days per week.

If you love working alongside a tight-knit anesthesia and surgical team, have a gentle touch with young patients, and take pride in setting the standard for safe, quality care — this role is for you! Our cases are office-based pediatric dental procedures on healthy children, performed during standard business hours, Monday through Friday — no evenings, Sundays, or holidays.

Bilingual candidates, especially Spanish-speaking, are highly encouraged to apply.

What you'll do The Perianesthesia nurse is responsible for the pre-operative assessment and care of each pediatric patient, along with intra-operative and post-operative/recovery care. Additional responsibilities include maintaining pharmacy and supplies, safely handling all equipment, and participating in quality and performance improvement activities. From time to time, you may help complete pre-operative patient assessments through our secure patient portal.

What we're looking for

  • Graduate of an accredited RN program with active RN licensure in the state of TX
  • Minimum of 3 years of ER/ICU critical care or PACU experience (pediatric experience a plus)
  • BLS and ACLS certification required; PALS certification preferred
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to drive to client office locations

What is office-based anesthesia? At AAC, our mission is to provide a comprehensive, peri-operative solution to surgeons and dentists, allowing them to perform procedures safely in the comfort of their own office. Our clinical model brings the anesthesia provider, perianesthesia RN, and all anesthesia-related medications, supplies, and equipment directly to the client on the day of each scheduled procedure.

What we offer AAC provides a competitive salary plus performance-based bonus opportunities for exceeding key performance indicators, along with a comprehensive benefits package: medical, dental, and vision coverage, STD/LTD, life insurance, and a 401(k) with company match.

Excited? We know we are! Apply below or email your CV to recruiting@aac-md.com — we look forward to meeting you!
