Location: Hilo, Hawaii

Pay Rate: $ 1,800 To $ 2,000 /Week

Contract: 13 Weeks

Schedule: Variable Day Shift | 5 Days/Week

Experience: Minimum 2 Years of Skilled Nursing or Long-Term Care Experience Preferred

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) for a 13-week contract opportunity in Hilo, Hawaii. This position provides rehabilitation services in a Skilled Nursing Facility and Long-Term Care setting, helping residents improve functional independence, mobility, and daily living skills through individualized, evidence-based therapy programs.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate residents and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans.

  • Deliver therapeutic interventions to improve activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, coordination, strength, and functional independence.

  • Educate residents, families, and caregivers on therapy goals, adaptive techniques, and home exercise programs.

  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to support rehabilitation goals and patient progress.

  • Complete timely and accurate documentation in compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • Active Hawaii Occupational Therapist License required by the assignment start date.

  • Current BLS (AHA or equivalent) certification required.

  • Minimum 2 years of Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or Long-Term Care (LTC) experience preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of rehabilitation practices, patient assessments, and treatment planning.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and occasional floating based on facility needs.
