Job Summary/Description:
Our Advertising Sales Department seeks a team-oriented, technology-savvy Sales Assistant capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously, entering orders, and being an integral part of the sales process. This position requires someone who takes initiative with the varying workload. Successful candidates must possess a positive attitude, be experienced with PowerPoint and Excel, and be able to work independently.
Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Communication with Managers and assigned Media Executives on all business.
• Order entry for Media Executives in Wide Orbit Traffic and Media Sales.
• Maintenance of preemptions, client aging, and avails.
• Assistance with building advertising presentations.
• This position also acts as a backup for the National Sales Assistant, Traffic Department, Digital, and Front Desk as needed.
• Attend Sales meetings and trainings.
• Updating team metrics and reports.
• Assist General Manager as needed, including organizing and executing staff functions.
• Manage contests and pick contest winners.
• Post Obituaries to KMVT Website.
• Manage community event postings.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Detail Oriented
• Ability to effectively multitask and manage multiple projects at once.
• Proficiency with Wide Orbit Traffic and Media Sales; skilled with PowerPoint and Excel.
• Data entry.
• Front-facing client communication via email, phone, and, possibly, in-person meetings.
