Committed to being a trusted voice of light and knowledge, KSL helps Utahns stay informed, connected, and engaged with the issues that matter most.Note: Work configurations are subject to change based on business needs and at company discretion.This position is an onsite role that requires the employee to regularly work at our Salt Lake City site.POSITION PURPOSE:KSL TV is looking for capable professional to operate studio cameras, handheld cameras, robotic cameras, camera control units, teleprompters, microphones, audio consoles and other related television equipment and act as floor director in a manner that provides KSL News and its views a highly produced product from a technical and aesthetic perspective on a part time basis. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Mix audio during newscastsMaintain and troubleshoot microphones, IFBs, and other audio equipment for use on-airRun studio cameras, handheld cameras, robotic cameras, camera control units, teleprompter, other related television equipmentAct as floor director for KSL News programs and other KSL productions as scheduledPerform specific studio technician assigned functions for KSL TV at a consistently high level of performanceResponsible for assuring the highest quality production values in all work performedSetting up, cleaning and performing minor maintenance on sets and equipment in news and production studiosPerform clerical functions as necessaryTake direction from directors and/or producers to obtain best on-air productOffer suggestions for improvement of newscasts and other productionsREQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:High school diploma or equivalent.Ability to work rabidly and effectively under pressureAble to be organized, able to meet job deadlines and be a self-starter with demonstrated ability to effectively perform with minimum supervisionAble to operate studio camera, handheld camera, teleprompter and camera control unitsGood vision, able to display creative abilities in studio camera composition as well as in other assigned production activitiesPrefer minimum of one-year previous on-air commercial television studio production experience or equivalentPrefer basic computer skillsWork hours required and able to work more hours when needed to meet deadlinesPHYSICAL DEMANDS:Receive, process, and maintain information through oral and/or written communication effectivelySubstantial physical movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingersLift, move, and carry up to 50 lbs. or heavy studio production equipment as neededAbility to extend hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction with good eye and hand coordinationCompensation This position's starting pay will be $17.00 an hour.What We Offer You: Check Out Our KSL Benefits!
