About the Role
HeyTutor has partnered with a local school district in Azusa to provide high-impact, in-person tutoring to Elementary School students. Applicants must have completed an Associate's degree or higher, or be currently enrolled in college.
We are hiring English & Math Tutors to support students in grades K-5th. This is a great opportunity for college students, aspiring educators, and education professionals looking for consistent hours, competitive pay, and meaningful work in their community.
An in-person background check is required.
Pay & Benefits
  • $18-$23 per hour, based on education and experience

Schedule
  • Monday-Friday availability required
  • Must be available between 8:00am-12:30pm
Requirements
  • Completed AA degree or higher, OR currently enrolled in college (required)
  • Experience working with children or tutoring preferred
  • Comfortable tutoring Elementary and Middle School Math and English Language Arts (ELA)
  • Ability to manage large groups of students independently
  • Comfortable working in a classroom setting
  • Ability to pass an FBI-DOJ in-person background check (provided by HeyTutor)
  • Spanish Bilingual is preferred not required
Key Responsibilities
  • Tutor groups of students without direct teacher supervision
  • Deliver lessons using provided curriculum and materials
  • Create an engaging, welcoming learning environment
  • Support positive student behavior and participation
  • Track attendance and student progress using the HeyTutor Dashboard
  • Assist with student assessments when requested
  • Escort students to and from designated areas on campus
  • Clock in/out daily using Deputy
  • Complete additional duties as assigned
