Job description

Looking for a part-time afterschool program tutor with a great work ethic that is able to tutor in math from grade 1 to grade 12. This program is in-person at our location in Long Island City, N.Y.

Classes are small (6-10 students) and grade-level specific. Afterschool program includes homework help in all subjects as well as enrichment lessons in math. Applicant must be able to create short lesson plans daily using our materials and resources. Applicant must be patient and work well with young children.

Duties include but are not limited to tutoring/teaching, classroom behavioral management, cleaning classrooms, communicating with parents on student progress, administrative work such as writing emails, picking up students from local schools, etc.

Option for more hours doing 1on1 tutoring after the afterschool program is available and encouraged.

Dress code is smart casual to formal.

Applicant must have prior experience teaching children.

Hourly pay is dependent on highest education completed.

Bachelor's Degree is a minimum requirement.



Monday 2pm - 6pm
Tuesday 2pm - 6pm
Wednesday 2pm - 6pm
Thursday 2pm - 6pm
1on1 tutoring 6pm-8pm daily (if applicable)
4 hours per day Monday through Thursday (excluding potential 1 on 1 tutoring following program)
