Job Summary
Communities In Schools is a nonprofit organization that works with school districts of all grade levels within Northwest Indiana to surround students with a community of support, helping them stay in school and achieve in life.
Responsibilities
  • Work cooperatively with the Site Coordinator to ensure appropriate support services are being provided to students such as; creative methods of tutoring tailored to students specific needs
  • Significant time management skills; juggle multiple students and tasks at a time
  • Organize with Site Coordinator support activities regarding students academic goals
  • Keeps records of students academic progress
  • Communicate effectively and well with students, Site Coordinators, Stakeholders

This position is for Fall 2026 with a tentative start date of August 17th 2026.
Locations vary based on the school district and the needs of students in elementary, middle and high school. If hired tutors may work in multiple locations based on their availability and the hours that need to be fulfilled.
Availability: Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Dates and times vary based on the school and student needs)
All students with a 3.0 GPA in all majors, and schools are welcome
Hourly Rate: $12 per hour.
