Job summary:

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a/an Turret Punch Press Operator located in USA Fontana, Ca.

Reporting to the Fabrication Manager, the Turret Punch Press Operator is responsible for the set-up and operation of CNC punch press machines used to fabricate metal parts for our manufacturing projects. The primary machine that this person will operate will be an Amada EMK-3610 NT Manual.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Operates a punch press machine to manufacture parts from sheet metal or metal plates.
  • Prepares, sets up, and adjusts punch press machine as required by product plans and production schedules.
  • Ensures that there are sufficient raw materials available to fulfill work orders
  • Measures and align materials to be used
  • Inspects products and evaluates finished pieces for compliance with quality standards and specifications
  • Performs routine maintenance on the punch press machine
  • Maintains a clean and safe work area.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience operating a CNC punch press machine
  • At least three years of experience in metal fabrication or related work preferred
  • Ability to safely and effectively operate or learn to operate press brake controls.
  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow product plans including blueprints and drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail skills
  • Basic computer and math skills

What the physical requirements are:

  • Physically able to operate the punch press machine
  • Prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at a time.
  • Must wear PPE, such as gloves, safety glasses, hard hat, and ear protection, while working on the production floor
