Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Engineer with strong field experience to support the design, implementation, and commissioning of industrial process control systems. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who thrives in both engineering offices and field environments and can bridge the gap between design intent and real-world execution.
The I&C Engineer will lead the development of instrumentation and control system documentation, specify and integrate field instrumentation and control hardware, and provide construction and startup support. This position plays a critical role in ensuring safe, reliable, and compliant automation systems that meet project and client requirements.
What You'll Do
  • P&ID Development & Management: Lead the development, review, and maintenance of Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), ensuring accuracy in process instrumentation, control loops, and valve representation.
  • Instrument & Electrical Specification: Select and specify process instrumentation (sensors, transmitters), valves, and control panels
  • Design Documentation: Produce key documents, including control narratives, I/O lists, loop diagrams, cable block diagrams, and electrical schematics.
  • Control System Design: Develop control strategies and logic for PLC/DCS systems to automate process equipment.
  • Interdisciplinary Coordination: Collaborate with process, mechanical, and piping engineers to ensure P&ID consistency and compliance with project specifications.
  • Construction & Startup Support: Provide technical support during construction, site evaluation, and commissioning, including troubleshooting and loop checking.

What You'll Bring
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation/Control Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience with P&ID software (e.g., AutoCAD P&ID), PLC/DCS, and industry standards (ISA, NEC) and 2 years' field experience
