  • This position is responsible for supporting front-of-house operations by assisting with table turnover
  • At least one year of work experience in a similar role is highly preferred
  • Hourly, plus tip out, with benefits available
  • Work schedule includes, nights, holidays, and weekends
  • Report to Manager on Duty


We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking busser to join our team at Bosphorous Turkish Cuisine. As a Busser, you will support the service team by ensuring that tables are clean, properly set, and ready for new guests, while maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and organization throughout the front-of-house areas. Your role is essential in creating a positive dining experience by assisting clearing and resetting tables to company standards, handling guest requests, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.


Responsibilities

  • Promptly clear used tableware and sanitize tables and seats after guests leave
  • Scrape and stack dirty dishes and transport them to the kitchen for cleaning
  • Set tables with clean plates, linens, silverware, and glassware ensuring tables are consistently clean and properly prepared for incoming guests
  • Polish silverware, plates, and glasses
  • Sweep and maintain a clean floor area throughout the shift, ensuring it is free from debris
  • Respond to guest requests promptly and provide needed items efficiently, communicating guest requests to servers as necessary
  • Refill water and tea pitchers and keep front-of-house (FOH) areas stocked with clean linens, silverware, glassware, dishes, and tray
  • Clean and organize FOH areas to maintain readiness
  • Work closely with servers and hosts to ensure efficient seating and table utilization. Assist with food and beverage delivery as needed
  • Remove trash from FOH areas throughout the shift and ensure waste is disposed of properly
  • Assist with putting away food, beverage, or paper goods deliveries
  • Work as a team to maintain service standards and operational efficiency
  • Adhere to safety protocols, including proper handling of broken glass and use of back braces
  • Clean and polish counters, shelves, walls, and furniture; mop or vacuum floors as required

Requirements:
  • Standing/Walking up to 8 hours continuously
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs alone, and up to 80 lbs as a team for long periods of time
