Job description

Job Overview:
Austin Country Club is seeking a dedicated and skilled Greenskeeper to join our team. This role is crucial in maintaining the aesthetic and playability of our golf course. The ideal candidate will have a passion for golf course maintenance and a commitment to environmental stewardship.

Pay range: $12.00-15.00 / hour based on experience

Key Responsibilities:
- Mow and maintain greens, fairways, and roughs, ensuring a high level of presentation and playability.
- Participate in the construction and maintenance of turf areas, including seeding, top dressing, and aerating.
- Operate and maintain a variety of turf care equipment, such as mowers, trimmers, and blowers.
- Assist with irrigation system maintenance, including adjusting sprinkler heads and identifying and repairing leaks.
- Help with the setup of the golf course for daily play, including placing tee markers and flagsticks, and changing hole locations.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in turf management or related field is a plus.
- Knowledge of turfgrass maintenance practices and equipment operation.
- Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
