Job description

Purpose:

Sells new and used agricultural, turf, motorsports, and compact construction equipment to new and existing customers. Focuses on walk-in, retail-oriented, customer traffic.

Responsibilities:

o Represents the company for the sale of machinery to walk-in customers

o Maintains current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment potentially saleable by the dealership, with an emphasis on <90hp tractors, implements & attachments as well as Turf products

o Monitors competitive activity/products and timely communicates to management, accordingly

o Has a retail-selling emphasis (understands task-oriented questions to ask, validates customer requirements, proposes solutions, offers demonstration, and moves to close)

o Maintains all customer information for sales management

o Knows and follows a defined sales process

o Maintains assigned equipment

o Assists with the preparation and execution of customer events

o Conducts new equipment demonstrations

o Monitors trends in customer’s business activities and timely communicates to management

o Maintains current knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used goods

o Attends applicable sales training events/seminars

o May maintain current knowledge of used equipment values and ability to evaluate properly for trading purposes

Requirements:

o 1+ years of retail sales experience

o Knowledge of agricultural or turf equipment and farming or operational practices preferred

o Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions

o Ability to work flexible hours

o Excellent customer relationship skills

o Ability to analyze and interpret basic sales reports

o High School Diploma or equivalent work experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
