Description
Subject to the availability of funds, one or two postdoctoral positions may be available in the Mathematics Department of Tulane University in the Integrability research group with a start date of July 31, 2026. The research group is part of a very active multi-university, international research collaborative, striving to discover nonlinear phenomena along with their complete and mathematically precise explanations.
Postdoctoral researchers working in this area will be mentored to support the development of their own independent research program, while collaborating with the research collective.
At Tulane, professional development includes the usual interactions with faculty researchers to discuss career decisions, along with the expectation that the postdoc participate in the mentoring of graduate students in conjunction with Ken McLaughlin, as well as teaching two courses per year.
Qualifications
The successful candidate should possess a Ph.D. in Mathematics or a related field is required, along with experience in asymptotic analysis. The appointment is for one year, and, subject to successful performance, renewable for up to two more years.
