Job description

Description
The Department of Neurology within the Tulane Center for Clinical Neuroscience at Tulane University School of Medicine is seeking a board eligible/certified vascular neurologist to serve to work within the Tulane Stroke Program.
The Stroke Program within the Tulane Center for Clinical Neurosciences is a Joint-Commission certified Comprehensive Stroke Center. The successful candidate will join this multidisciplinary team.
The successful candidate's clinical practice will involve outpatient clinic (with a focus on primary and secondary prevention of stroke), inpatient hospital service (with a focus on acute stroke care), and telemedicine call. She/He will teach medical students and residents as well as mentor the fellow enrolled in our ACGME-accredited vascular neurology fellowship program. She/He will also be expected to expand the stroke research program in collaboration with other faculty members in the Departments of Neurology and Neurosurgery, Tulane Center for Clinical Neuroscience Research, and Tulane Center for Clinical Neurosciences, within the Tulane School of Medicine; and the intercollegiate Tulane Brain Institute. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in participation in clinical trials and research, with experience in serving as the PI or co-I of externally funded studies, and a bibliography of peer-reviewed publications.

* Fellowship training
* Candidate must possess or be eligible to obtain a LA medical license
