Actual pay will be based on various factors, such as a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, proficiency for the role, and internal equity. In addition to base pay, Kwik Trip gives 40% of pre-tax profits back to our coworkers with bonuses ranging from 8-12% of each coworker's gross annual wage depending on company profitability and offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401k, paid time off, and more.
Our state-of-the-art Sweets Bakery located in La Crosse, WI produces over 60 varieties of sweet good and bread products for approximately 800+ retail stores. Kwik Trip customers are able to enjoy everything from mouth-watering muffins, turnovers, bagels, cookies, to our famous Glazers.
Join our Bakery Mixing Operator crew where you will be trained to operate our Bakery's industrial size mixers and scales. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Ensure proper ingredient amounts are gathered for production
  • Operate equipment to mix and create bakery products
  • Prepare and operate production line once mix has been prepared
  • Lift and organize bakery pans to and from production line
  • Complete paperwork necessary for quality check and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) guidelines

Work Schedules:
  • Sunday through Saturday with rotating days off working 2:00am to 12:00pm (Same two days off during the week and work every other weekend)
  • Sunday through Saturday with rotating days off working 2:30am to 12:30pm (Same two days off during the week and work every other weekend)

Days off are Mondays & Tuesdays:
Week 1: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Week 3: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
Week 4: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Days off are Thursdays & Fridays:
Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday
Week 2: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
Week 3: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday

Qualifications: Fork lift certified or the ability to become fork lift certified; accurate and detail orientated; adhere to sanitation and hygiene standards; basic math aptitude; ability to read and interpret formulas and recipes; willing to learn/perform variety of job tasks; work in fast paced production environment; work in noisy environment; work well alone/as part of team; work in safety conscious environment; work in temperatures of 70-90+ degrees F.
Prior experience in baking is a plus.
Physical qualifications: stand/walk up to10 hours per shift; bend/reach/twist constantly; kneel/squat occasionally; lift/carry 15 pounds to 72 inches occasionally; lift/carry 50 pounds to 60 inches frequently; push/pull up to 87 pounds of force occasionally.
Benefits:
  • Minimum starting rate of pay: $20.00 per hour
  • Weekend Premium Pay: additional $3.00 an hour between the hours of 7:30pm Friday and 5:00am Monday
