Job description

Responsibilities  

  • Set up and operate TRUMPF TruLaser Tube 7000 CNC Laser equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Load and unload raw material and finished parts.
  • Verify correct material type, size, thickness, and job requirements before production.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, work orders, and specifications.
  • Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using appropriate measuring tools.
  • Monitor cut quality and make necessary machine adjustments.
  • Identify and troubleshoot basic machine, tooling, and cutting issues.
  • Maintain required production rates while meeting quality standards.
  • Complete production, inspection, and material documentation accurately.
  • Perform routine machine cleaning and preventive maintenance.
  • Report equipment, quality, material, or production issues promptly.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Requirements  

  • Previous CNC laser or metal fabrication experience preferred.
  • TRUMPF tube laser experience highly preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Knowledge of basic dimensions and tolerances.
  • Ability to use calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to safely handle raw materials and finished parts.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as required.
