Financial Analyst

Location: Atlanta, Georgia

The Southeast Permanente Medical Group (TSPMG) is one of Georgia's largest independent, physician-owned, multi-specialty medical groups. More than 700 physicians and 300 associate practitioners work together in a unique integrated care model to provide high-quality care to Kaiser Permanente members. Our focus is on long-term health, effective prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of disease.

TSPMG is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our Finance team. This individual will be responsible for creating, developing, and monitoring annual operating budgets, forecasts, and reporting. The Financial Analyst will partner closely with departmental managers, operations directors, Human Resources, and Kaiser Permanente Georgia peers to support financial planning and operational decision-making.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Analyze financial data and provide forecasting support.
  • Prepare reports, projections, and recommendations based on financial data.
  • Evaluate current and historical financial performance to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities across departments.
  • Perform monthly financial reporting, operational analysis, and variance reporting.
  • Maintain TSPMG position requests and track approved positions reviewed by leadership.
  • Maintain cost accounting systems and related reporting tools.
  • Provide ad hoc reporting and data support to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist with special projects and internal audits as needed.
 Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field from an accredited program, OR equivalent professional experience in finance or accounting.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial analysis.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial statement analysis.
  • Proficiency with SQL Server or similar database reporting systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or other business intelligence tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
 Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related business field.
  • Experience with Cognos budgeting/forecasting systems or similar tools.
  • Experience in healthcare, managed care, hospital systems, or large physician practices.
  • Experience with cost accounting platforms such as EPSI or Strata.
  • Public accounting or internal audit experience.
  • Project management experience.
