Trusted Care Clinic in Sparks, Nevada, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our team in a full-time capacity. This position is primarily onsite at our modern surgical center, equipped with cutting-edge technology and facilities to support surgical procedures and patient care. As a member of our surgical team, you will engage with a variety of professionals dedicated to delivering comprehensive care.

As a Physician Assistant at Trusted Care Clinic, your key responsibilities will include:

• Partnering with the supervising physician to deliver patient care across various settings, including surgical and outpatient environments.
• Conducting daily patient rounds to assess progress, manage care plans, and ensure effective recovery through in-depth evaluations.
• Writing detailed patient orders and coordinating hospital admissions and discharges to streamline the patient experience.
• Providing thorough pre-operative and post-operative education and instructions, empowering patients with knowledge about their care.
• Assisting in the operating room with surgical procedures, including minor surgeries, and ensuring adherence to protocols.
• Participating in consults within the Emergency Department and Critical Care Unit, demonstrating versatility in acute care settings.

Your focus will be on managing patients of all ages who require surgical interventions, ensuring individualized care tailored to their specific needs. You will have the opportunity to work with a wide demographic, from young children to seniors, and handle a variety of surgical cases that encompass general surgery and specialized procedures.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
• Current board certification as a Physician Assistant and state licensure.
• A valid DEA License and certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
• Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification within 12 months of hire.

While not required, candidates with 2-3 years of advanced practice experience in surgical or hospital medicine will be at an advantage. Experience as a first assistant in the operating room, particularly with laparoscopic and robotic techniques, will be considered a significant asset.
