We are currently seeking a seasoned Trust & Estates Attorney with 3-8 years of experience to join our dynamic legal team. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity that offers a challenging and rewarding role for a driven individual who is passionate about trust and estate law. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal advice to clients on a range of trust and estate matters, including estate administration, estate planning, wills, trusts, estates, and probate. This is an excellent opportunity for a legal professional who is looking to take the next step in their career, working on complex and high-profile cases within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the preparation of trust and estate law, including estate administration, estate planning, wills, trusts, estates, and probate.
2. Structure and administer complex trusts, including irrevocable and special needs vehicles.
3. Oversee estate and trust administration matters, including probate, fiduciary accountings, and distributions.
4. Advise on business succession and wealth‑transfer planning for closely held entities.
5. Counsel clients on estate, gift, and long‑term planning considerations.
6. Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, managing matters independently and maintaining long‑term relationships.
7. Collaborate with attorneys across practices to deliver integrated planning solutions.
8. Handle trust‑ and estate‑related disputes or contested matters as needed.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admitted to practice law in NY.
3. A minimum of 3 years of experience in trust and estate law, with a proven track record of success.
