JOB TITLE: Truss Plant Mechanic

JOB LOCATION: Sugar City, ID

REPORTING TO: Truss Foreman

FUNCTION: Under the direction of the shop supervisor, the shop mechanic is responsible for Preventative maintenance, repairs and installation of truss production equipment in Sunpro truss facilities

KEY ACTIVITIES:

  • Visualize, fulfill, and implement the company vision and core values.
  • Ensures that all truss equipment is in excellent working condition to avoid downtime and delays in production.
  • Perform minor electrical repairs (including electronic controls), minor welding repairs, as well as equipment and plant maintenance repairs.
  • Check and change all oils and perform proper lubrication in equipment.
  • Maintain tools as required to perform job.
  • Hold Medical card.
  • Maintain insurable driving record.
  • Ensure a safe and healthful work environment at all times. Offer training on best practices on equipment maintenance.
  • Willing to travel to all truss locations as needed.
  • Assist in other positions around the shop on an as needed basis. Including but not limited to table builder, sawyer, saw helper, moving and catching trusses, operating a forklift to move trusses and lumber in the yard, delivering trusses and other items to the job site.
