Primary Purpose of Position:ย
Reporting to theย Director of Behavioral Health, the Behavioral Health Clinician isย contracted with the Town of Easthamย and serves as a municipal mental health professional for residents of all the fourย Outer Cape towns of Eastham, Wellfleet,ย Truroย and Provincetown.ย This roleย functions as a member of OCHS and collaborates withย a multi-disciplinary team at the municipal level as well as with clinicians for all OCHS patients.ย The Behavioral Health Clinicianย may evaluate need for hospitalization, make referrals,ย and provide immediate follow-up services to support an individualโs engagement in treatmentย if needed, as well responsibilityย for providing resources and treatment to patients, collaborating with other members of staff to create care plans, conducting screenings, and caseย management.ย
Essential Functions:ย
Provide direct services to youth and families, including information and referral, assessments, coordination of treatment, and ongoing therapeutic interventions through individual,ย familyย and/or group modalities.ย ย ย
Apply immediate community based clinical servicesย when and where needed based on referrals and in partnership with public safety departments responding to behavioral health calls.ย Prioritizing individuals who are unable to receive safe,ย timelyย and adequate services through healthcare agenciesย or other health and human services providers that would provide similar case managementย
Provide clinicalย expertiseย andย assistanceย to the community concerning the process of accessingย appropriate medicalย intervention, as well as interventions, rehabilitation and recovery issues, and the integration of clients back into the community.ย
Provide counseling session services to individuals and families of the Outer Cape towns to thoseย impactedย by addiction, substanceย abuseย and related mental health issues.ย Develop andย assistย in treatment planning andย locatingย availableย servicesย ,ย provide case management andย followupย support.ย
Work and collaborate with assigned team to implement joint care plans, as applicable, and balance a mix of short term, maintenance, group, individual and extended therapeutic modalities to ensure ongoing access and bestย possible outcomes.ย

Excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills, organizational abilities, computer experience, and the ability to work within a collaborative team setting.ย
Proficiencyย in computer skills includingย EPIC, Outlook, Microsoft office,ย OneDriveย and any otherย software applicable to this position.ย

This is aย sedentaryย job byย nature.ย Requires being able to sitย and/orย standย forย long periodsย of time as well as theย abilityย toย useย computersย and a phone.ย ย

In accordance withย Massachusetts law, we are committed to wage transparency. The salary range for this position is $65,000 to $85,000. This range is provided to promote equity and transparency in our hiring process. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and other job-related criteria.ย
