ROLE SUMMARY

With the support of internal TruGrid staff and external service providers, the Permitting and Licensing Manager will ensure the proper permitting and licensing for each TruGrid project delivery contract. This position sits within the legal department and reports to the General Counsel or other management personnel that the Company may designate. The position seat is in the TruGrid offices in Houston, Texas (hybrid schedule).
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION amp; RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure all federal, state and local permits and licenses needed for completion of TruGrid projects are acquired and maintained.
  • Support contracting teams to identify required permits and licenses during pre-construction efforts.
  • Support construction teams to acquire project level permits and licenses.
  • Administer the acquisition and maintenance of company held professional and business licenses.
  • Manage external support staff to implement permitting and licensing efforts.
  • Interface with TruGrid staff at all levels as required and support permitting and licensing efforts
  • Support Legal and Finance team activities related to permitting and licensing matters.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree, ideally with a business or finance focus; relevant experience may substitute.
  • Experience with permitting and licensing or related activities in the construction industry.
  • Ability to work with limited oversight, and with colleagues of various skills and experience.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills are required.
  • Desire to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
  • Proficient in the utilization of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
