At Trolley Square Oyster House, we believe exceptional hospitality starts with exceptional people. We're looking for a dynamic and hands-on General Manager who is passionate about leading teams, creating memorable guest experiences, and driving operational excellence.

This role is ideal for a hospitality leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys developing people, and understands that a successful restaurant is built on strong culture, accountability, and genuine care for both guests and team members.

As General Manager, you will oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, leading both front and back of house teams while fostering an environment where employees feel supported, engaged, and empowered to do their best work.

What You'll DoLead People & Culture
  • Inspire, coach, and develop managers and team members to deliver exceptional hospitality.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture.
  • Oversee staffing, scheduling, training, performance management, and team development.
  • Lead by example and maintain a visible presence throughout the restaurant.
  • Organize and lead pre-shift meetings that align the team around service excellence and operational goals.
Drive Operational Excellence
  • Oversee all daily restaurant operations, including front and back of house.
  • Ensure consistent execution of company standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Monitor restaurant cleanliness, safety, maintenance, and overall guest experience.
  • Manage opening and closing procedures and ensure operational accountability across all shifts.
  • Participate in management meetings and collaborate with ownership and leadership teams.
Deliver Outstanding Guest Experiences
  • Build meaningful connections with guests and cultivate a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Address guest concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain a strong floor presence to support service, team members, and guest satisfaction.
  • Champion hospitality standards and create memorable dining experiences.
Manage Financial Performance
  • Forecast sales and manage labor to support business goals.
  • Oversee budgets, payroll, banking, and daily financial accountability.
  • Review and enter invoices and maintain accurate operational records.
  • Manage inventory, including wine and liquor ordering and controls.
  • Monitor expenses and ensure adherence to company guidelines.
Support Business Growth
  • Partner in local marketing and community engagement efforts.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operations, service, and profitability.
  • Oversee menu upkeep, programming, and team education initiatives.
  • Support live entertainment programming, including scheduling coordination and performance oversight.
What We're Looking For
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 4–6 years of restaurant management experience, preferably in a full-service or fine dining environment.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong financial acumen, including labor management, budgeting, and inventory control.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Passion for hospitality and creating exceptional guest experiences.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on leadership role.
