Job description

As MISO's Tripwire Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing the organization's Tripwire Enterprise platform. This role ensures accurate configuration baselines, timely detection of deviations, and reliable reporting in support of cybersecurity, audit, and compliance requirements. The Tripwire Administrator helps maintain a secure, efficient, and compliant monitoring and change-management environment. This position will also support continuous improvement efforts, integrations, and automation initiatives across the enterprise.
What You'll Do as our Trip Platform Engineer:
  • Administer, configure, and maintain Tripwire Enterprise components, including consoles, agents, policies, rules, and dashboards.
  • Integrate Tripwire with other systems such as ServiceNow and Splunk; maintain logs, reporting schedules, and data exports.
  • Develop scripts and automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python) to streamline reporting, deployments, and manual tasks.
  • Reduce manual work through automation and leveraging AI capabilities in ServiceNow.
  • Optimize Tripwire policies, rules, thresholds, and coverage to reduce false positives and improve overall performance.
  • Deploy and manage Tripwire agents across Windows, Linux, and networked systems, ensuring platform health, agent connectivity, and data integrity.
  • Generate and maintain audit-ready Tripwire reports for internal and external assessments.
  • Provide evidence for configuration baselines, deviation events, investigations, and change-management linkage.
  • Support compliance activities and internal security standards.
  • Stay current with Tripwire best practices, patches, upgrades, and new features.

What You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline).
  • Experience integrating Tripwire with SIEM or ITSM platforms, preferably Splunk and ServiceNow.
  • Proven experience in reducing in manual, repetitive, and error-prone activities through scripting, automation, and process redesign.
  • Creative, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to streamline processes and leverage tools effectively.
  • Hands-on experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Powershell, or Python to support automation.
  • Comfort working within change-management processes and configuration control environments.
  • Familiarity with Tripwire Enterprise reporting, audit workflows, and configuration monitoring best practices.
  • Experience working with compliance frameworks.

Appropriate level will be determined based upon experience and knowledge.

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $114,000 - $139,000 USD annually. Base salary range for this position is included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, and qualifications/experience.
Position is also eligible for an annual bonus if individual performance and company objectives are met. At MISO we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including 401k, vacation, sick and safe time, available on your first day of employment.
