Job description

Title:                           Business Development Manager - Waterworks

Territory:                   Mid-Atlantic and New England area

Reports to:                 Director of Sales

Position Description: Drive profitable revenue by capturing business generated by research of industry trends and assigned accounts.  Will also work with internal sales and marketing teams to develop and execute sales strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage assigned accounts through customized sales & marketing programs geared toward YOY sales growth while maintaining margin expectations
  • Coordinate meetings and develop relationships with key personnel
  • Gain a thorough understanding of the waterworks industry and Trident Solutions to develop a successful strategy to grow revenue within the assigned accounts & Trident’s product offering
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, yearly sales and margin goals
  • Conduct business reviews with key customer decision makers to assess opportunities that are unique in each account targeted at merchandising, marketing, operations, and sales growth
  • Aggressively pursue new customer business through strategically generating and qualifying lead opportunities

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Business, Business Administration or related field preferred)
  • Minimum of two years B2B sales experience
  • Ability to develop regional business and marekting plans
  • Microsoft Office Suite, CRM and PowerBI experience required
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan, prioritize and work independently
  • Experienced in presenting to groups of people
  • Anayltical, creative, and adaptable problem-solving skills
  • Experience selling through a distrubution network in the utilities industry is preferred

Working Conditions:  Working conditions are professional, high energy and fast paced.  Work requires frequent travel to tradeshows, customer visits and national corporate meetings.  Some travel may include weekends and or evening hours.
