Join us at The Oregon Clinic as a full-time (32.5 hours per week) Dermatology Registered Nurse. Work alongside a collaborative team of patient-focused colleagues and physicians in our thriving Broadway Medical -Dermatology Clinic located in Northeast Portland. By providing patients and internal and external stakeholders with a consistent, efficient, and easy experience, you’ll help ensure that patients at The Oregon Clinic Broadway Medical -Dermatology Clinic receive the highest-value care tailored to their needs.

Using excellent customer service and communications skills, your primary duties in this role include:                                                                                          

  • Responsible for providing professional nursing care for clinic patients under the direction of a Physician(s) and within their scope of practice according to the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
  • Works directly with physicians and staff in coordinating excellent patient care. Registered Nurses function as the primary liaison between patients, staff, and physicians.
  • Performs patient assessment and triage, either in person or over the phone. Properly documents all encounters for providers review, flagging any urgent concerns.
  • Performs clinical care in accordance with nursing standards within the specialty; may include taking vitals, recording and verifying medications, wound care, phlebotomy, injections, administering injections and treatments.
  • Assists providers with routine dermatology procedures/surgeries.
  • Provides patient and families health education. Orders prescription refills according to clinic protocol.
  • Assists physicians with procedures according to prescribed standards. Anticipates the needs of the physician.
  • Orders and maintains medical inventory of supplies as needed. Checks emergency medication and IV trays regularly. Supports the QA/QI process.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Salary:

Hiring range, based on experience and credentials

  • Level I: $43.52 -$58.88 per hour.
  • Level II: $47.87 -$64.77 per hour.

Workdays: This role is located at the Broadway Medical Clinic in Northeast Portland. Typical hours are 32.5 per week, Monday-Friday (9:00 am – 4:00 pm).

Qualifications that support success in this role are based on education, experience and values including:

  • Current Oregon state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a Dermatology outpatient clinical setting is strongly preferred.
  • Current CPR/BLS within 60 days of hire. ACLS may be required by specialty.
  • Prior Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience is strongly preferred. Epic experience is a plus!
  • Excellent attendance and work ethic.
  • Positive attitude and desire to be a team player.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians, and other team members.
  • A commitment to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety.
