Position Overview
The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for students, families, staff, and visitors and supports the daily operations of the school through front office management, administrative support, attendance coordination, and customer service.
This role works closely with school leadership, staff, students, families, and external partners to ensure an organized, welcoming, and efficient school environment.
The Receptionist serves as a key operational support role responsible for maintaining effective front office operations, promoting positive stakeholder experiences, and supporting school-wide administrative processes.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma required; Associate degree preferred
  • Minimum of two (2) years of administrative, receptionist, customer service, or office support experience preferred
  • Experience working in a school or educational setting preferred
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and other office technology systems preferred
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check

Work Environment
  • Primarily office-based within a school environment

Front Office Operations & Customer Service
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for incoming visitors, families, students, and staff
  • Welcome guests and create a professional, warm, and customer-focused experience
  • Monitor and manage incoming public traffic and visitor procedures
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls, emails, and inquiries appropriately
  • Provide timely assistance and support to students, families, and visitors
  • Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive student and staff information
  • Ensure front office areas remain organized, professional, and functional
Attendance & Student Support Administration
  • Support school attendance processes and maintain attendance records
