Job description


Position Overview

Under general supervision this position is responsible for assisting the Pastor to Children and Families in managing and overseeing the ministries and operations of the Family Church Downtown Campus.

Reports to the Pastor to Children and Families

Prerequisites

  • Record of consistent, high-level performance
  • Excellent attendance habits
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

General Responsibilities

Sunday Morning Responsibilities

  • Attend Downtown Kids Ministry 45 Sundays per year.
  • Assist in developing kids worship experience.
  • Assist in the Sunday morning experience with Bible Study groups and Adult Guides.
  • Attend required meetings and trainings.
  • Organize, coordinate, and budget for special events; for example, Trunk or Treat, Easter Egg Hunt, Young Leader Retreat, Family Movie Night(s), and Kids Camp.
  • Teach in the Treehouse at least 12 times per year.

Childcare Coordinator Responsibilities

  • Staff and coordinate paid childcare workers for events including Leadership Rally, First Connection and Mom-to-Mom Downtown (requests are submitted through email by the Director of Preschool Ministry).
  • Coordinate and prepare kid check area, needed rooms, supplies, and event details.
  • Assist families with checking in for the event and connect with families.
