Employment Type: Full-Time
Position Overview:

The Landscape Arborist - Estimator will be responsible for assessing new tree care projects, estimating the cost and time required for completion, and preparing bids for potential clients. This role requires in-depth knowledge of tree species, a strong background in tree trimming and maintenance, and the ability to evaluate the scope of work for tree removal, pruning, or treatment.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Job Estimation & Bidding:
    • Visit client sites to assess tree work requirements, including tree trimming, removal, pruning, and other related services.
    • Estimate the time, labor, and materials needed for each project, considering tree species, size, and complexity of the work.
    • Prepare competitive bids and pricing proposals for new tree work jobs, ensuring accuracy and profitability.
    • Communicate project details and cost estimates to clients in a clear, professional manner.
  • Tree Species Knowledge & Assessment:
    • Identify various species of trees and their specific care needs, hazards, or challenges.
    • Make recommendations for the appropriate course of action based on tree health, location, and client preferences.
  • Tree Trimming & Maintenance Background:
    • Use prior experience as a tree trimmer to accurately assess the complexity and time required for each job.
    • Provide insight into the safest and most efficient ways to carry out tree-related tasks, drawing on personal field experience.
  • Collaboration & Reporting:
    • Collaborate with the tree care crew and project managers to ensure that estimates align with available resources and team capabilities.
