The Learning Tree of Huntley is a licensed childcare center seeking Lead Teachers to support our Infant classroom!

To be QUALIFIED for this position, we require a CDA or at least 6 ECE college level credits, and the ability to pass all background checks. A plus if you have previous childcare experience!

Required Shift: Full-time, 4/10s (four days/week, 10 hour shift)

Compensation: $19-$21/hour, based on education and experience

Main Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate one week in advance using current curriculum guides. 
  • Implement lesson plans/curriculum on a weekly basis covering all areas of child development and carry out lesson plans according to classroom schedule/daily routine; Use our parent communication app efficiently. 
  • Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
  • Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs; and maintaining an organized, clean, safe, and appropriately decorated classroom. 
  • Maintain a child assessment and portfolio for each child, as well as conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences during the month of November and May.
  • Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
  • Carry out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children.
