Job description

BASIC FUNCTION AND SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES


Perform visual inspections and scouting in the blocks of citrus plants in order to detect the presence of pests and/or diseases. Tree inspector is to take notes of the results in the appropriate spreadsheet. Properly gather and segregate samples for immediate superior analysis. Take care of all equipment and vehicles designed to perform the duty described previously, including periodical cleaning and schedule maintenance. Perform other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES


Inspect trees with magnifying glass for pests and/or diseases and record data on a scouting form for supervisors review along with any samples. The qualified candidate will display initiative, attention to detail, good communication/ interpersonal skills and be able to work independently and as part of a team. Ensure full comprehension of job duties and safety regulations. Perform a daily maintenance checklist for atv/utv assigned to inspector.


EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS [Minimum level of formal education that is required to perform this job satisfactorily]


High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.


TRAINING, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE


Previous work-related skill, knowledge, and/or experience are preferred. Knowledge of driving a ATV/UTV is preferred.


NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


Participate in Cutrale sponsored training to improve job skills. Participate in quality improvement process.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

May be required to perform labor-intensive work involving prolonged standing or bending for extended periods. Must be able to work outdoors and indoors in various temperatures.

WORKING CONDITIONS


Working conditions will be outside, in all types of weather. If necessary, could be expected to work in wet, muddy, rainy conditions.
