Job description

Job Summary:
Tredence Inc. is a data engineering company seeking an Associate Manager – Data Engineer. The role involves understanding business objectives, designing ETL pipelines, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure data quality and governance.
Responsibilities:
• Comprehensively understand the business objectives and technical requirements of data engineering project.
• Collaborating closely with stakeholders to grasp their data needs and desired outcomes.
• Design and implement ETL data pipelines which involve the planning and execution of processes aimed at efficiently transferring data from source(cloud/on-prem) to the data warehouse.
• Utilize dimensional modeling principles to organize data into fact and dimension tables to support diverse analytical queries and reporting requirements.
• Analyze the data quality, align the technical design to data governance, and address all the required non-business but operational requirements during the design and build of data pipelines.
• Advanced SQL knowledge and hands-on experience in complex query writing using Analytical functions.
• Provide advice, guidance, and best practices around Snowflake.
• Implement robust security and access control policies within the Snowflake environment.
• Ensure the delivery and quality assurance of data pipelines, dashboards and conduct thorough troubleshooting before promoting changes to production.
• Leverage Snowpark for advanced transformation and data science workloads.
• Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to gather feedback and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Engage proactively with stakeholders and collaborate on managing Jira sprints, including task allocation, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospective meetings.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Data Science, Engineering (any), or related field
• Five (5) years of experience in the job offered or a related position
• Demonstrable knowledge of Snowflake
• Demonstrable knowledge of SQL
• Demonstrable knowledge of Python
• Demonstrable knowledge of Apache Spark
• Demonstrable knowledge of Airflow
• Demonstrable knowledge of Talend
• Demonstrable knowledge of Data Modelling
• Demonstrable knowledge of Data Warehousing
• Demonstrable knowledge of Tableau
• Demonstrable knowledge of PowerBI
• Demonstrable knowledge of Data Governance & Security
• Ability to travel to unanticipated client locations throughout the U.S. approximately 30%, as required
• Ability to telecommute from any location within the U.S.
