The Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) plays a crucial role in supporting dental professionals by performing advanced clinical tasks beyond the typical dental assistant duties. Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for dental procedures and ensure comfort throughout treatment.
  • Assist with radiographic imaging, including taking and processing dental X-rays.

  • Maintain accurate charting and documentation of patient care and treatment details.
