Description

The Treasury Services Officer is responsible for building strong partnerships across all business lines with a focus of providing treasury and account management support to the Bank's CRB (Cannabis Related Business) customers while expanding and retaining existing customers. This position directly contributes to the Bank's deposit growth goal by ensuring customers' needs are fully met while providing the best possible customer experience. The ideal candidate must have a solid banking background with expertise in Treasury Services products and with providing excellent customer service. A strong focus on "wowing" internal and external customers.


Essential Job Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Engages in business development and client servicing activities for all indirect and direct cannabis prospects and customers, providing consultative working cash flow assessments and recommendations of the Bank's products and services.   
  • Responsible for preparing account analysis pro-formas and proposals and driving collaboration between business lines to provide the best possible new customer experience. 
  • Facilitates onboarding of all new customer relationships through the Shield platform, including opening accounts and facilitating the implementation of treasury management services. 
  • Trains customers in the Shield Assure compliance platform, post account opening. 
  • As needed, provides additional service to Commercial and Business Banking customers on all deposit and treasury management needs with support from the Operations Team. 
  • Monitors customer relationships and performs relationship reviews on the Bank's cannabis customers and presents findings and recommendations to customers thus enhancing relationships and retention. 
  • Acts as liaison between CRB customers, internal bank departments including BSA, Compliance, Operations and Retail. 
  • Manages the risk exposure relative to treasury management services.
  • Provides timely and responsive customer service by meeting agreed-upon deadlines and commitments. 
  • Proactively participates in partners' team and sales meetings providing input, training and assistance in developing business. 
  • Supports management decisions and goals in a positive, professional manner and represents the Bank with a high level of integrity. 
  • Works closely and collaboratively with other departments in the Bank, treating all employees with respect. 
  • Maintains knowledge of treasury management policies and procedures and follows all bank policies and procedures, and compliance regulations. 
  • Assumes responsibility for special projects as assigned.

 Required Knowledge, Skills & Work Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing or finance preferred or equivalent education and work experience.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of cash management or treasury services within the banking industry required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products and other Database software.
  • Strong time management, contact management and records management skills. 
  • Knowledge of key bank regulations, including, but not limited to, Know Your Customer, the Bank Secrecy Act, and Anti-Money Laundering policies, procedures and related programs especially as they relate to cannabis banking. 


Physical Demands

The employee will operate in a general office environment, using office equipment such as a phone and a computer. The employee must be able to bend and squat occasionally when accessing computer or treasury services related equipment. This position will be required to use transportation to visit client and potential client businesses in a variety of industries and work environments. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate as compared to a private office with light foot traffic and office equipment. The employee must be able and willing and able to interact frequently with the general public.

Pay Range Disclosure

The pay range for this position is based on the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for this position at the time of this posting. Actual pay will depend upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, business or organizational needs, affordability and market pay. The posted range may be modified in the future as market data or organizational priorities change.
