Description:

The Treasury Management Officer is part of the bank’s retail/consumer department and will report to the Retail Banking Officer. This position will be based in our Grimes Office but will be required to travel to all of our other branch locations. The primary responsibility of this position is for the sales/services of all treasury management products to help deepen customer relationships, to attract additional customers, and to provide excellent customer service.


This position will be responsible for completing sales activities to help attract new customers. These duties will include originating letters to be sent to customers and prospects, soliciting banking relationships, developing prospect lists, and other tasks as requested by the Retail Banking Officer.


ACCOUNTABILITIES


Sales: 50%

  • Responsible for the sale of all treasury management products and services. These products and services include, but are not limited to Business Savings, Business Bill Pay, Remote Deposit Capture, Account Analysis, ACH Online, Sweeps, Positive Pay, Business Credit Cards, Business Demand Deposit Accounts, Business Lock Box Services, and Merchant Services. This will include helping to deepen account relationships with existing customers and soliciting prospects to the bank.
  • Responsibilities will include sales/cross sales of bank accounts to customers and prospects. Goals of production will be set for these areas.
  • Collaborate with Lending and Retail departments to encourage treasury management referrals.
  • Travels to the client to perform sales and service support activities as required to meet the customer’s needs and maintain overall service standards.
  • Work with the Treasury Management Team to complete all necessary paperwork, including but not limited to any applications and user agreements/contracts for any treasury management products and services.
  • Order any equipment needed by customers for all treasury management services and products sales.

Product Line Extension: 20%

  • Works with Bank management to identify, establish, and service all treasury management services for the Bank including but not limited to Remote Deposit Capture, Sweeps, Merchant Services, online banking, Business Bill Pay, Business Demand Deposit Accounts, Business Savings, Business Credit Cards, ACH Online, Lockbox, and Positive Pay.
  • Works with Bank management to establish pricing for all new and existing treasury management services and products.

Customer Service/Deposit Accounts: 20%

  • Assists customers in the setup of treasury management products and services, including but not limited to Business Savings, Business Bill Pay, Remote Deposit Capture, Sweeps, Account Analysis, ACH Online, Positive Pay, Business Credit Cards, Business Demand Deposit Accounts, and Merchant Services.
  • Completes new account process to ensure all appropriate information is collected from the customer and recorded in the appropriate areas of the computer system; follows-through with setup of additional products/services. Must also provide thorough and accurate documentation of the new account.
  • Explains and reviews treasury management contracts to customers and trains those customers in how to use treasury management products after setup is complete and continually on an as needed basis.
  • Maintains a deep knowledge of all treasury management products and services that the Bank offers and can explain the value of those products to existing and prospective customers.
  • Troubleshoots as needed to assist customers with any and all technical system issues that arise out of any treasury management products or services.
  • Understands and adheres to Bank operational procedures related to retail delivery. This may include product functionality, account documentation, platform/operational issues, CIP procedures, etc.
  • Understands and complies with all related state and federal laws and regulations, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, privacy, and funds availability policy.

Other: 10%

  • Fulfills compliance requirements as directed by the bank, including but not limited to requirements of the Bank Secrecy Act and consumer compliance regulations.
  • As a team member of the Bank, this position may be requested to assist in the support of other bank activities as assigned by management.
Requirements:

EDUCATION AND PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s degree preferred. 5-10 years treasury management or relevant experience. Experience in retail sales. Bank operations experience preferred. This job requires skills needed in a typical office environment. This includes computer skills as well as utilization of office equipment.


LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and implement regulations and laws, general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, policy, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.


REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and/or problems and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Valid driver’s license required for travel to Bank offices, training sessions, customer meetings, Bank and community meetings, etc. Ability to speak a foreign language helpful but not required.
