Job description

General Position Summary & Responsibilities
The Treasury Clerk is responsible for supporting day-to-day banking administration, vendor ACH onboarding, account reconciliation, and daily treasury operations. Reporting to the Treasury Manager, this role supports secure and accurate daily cash operations across multiple legal entities and banking relationships. This role acts as an important gatekeeper for banking portals, vendor payment setups, and monthly bank fee tracking. This role works closely with Accounting and Accounts Payable and plays an important part in ensuring accurate cash reporting and supporting efficient transaction processing across the organization.

Hourly Range: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
Essential Functions
  • Vendor ACH Onboarding: Collect and verify vendor banking details for ACH payments while following fraud-prevention protocols.
  • Bank Check Reconciliations: Perform daily and monthly check reconciliations, matching issued checks against cleared data and resolving outstanding items.
  • Statement Retrieval: Retrieve and organize bank statements monthly from various banking portals to support monthly close.
  • Bank Portal Maintenance: Assist with user management, including setting up new users, resetting passwords, and auditing active portal permissions.
  • Fee Entry: Track bank fees, investigate material or unusual variances and explore opportunities for fee reductions.
  • Transaction Processing: Processing of locally delivered cash deposits, unclaimed property and stop payments.
  • Process Documentation: Create, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all daily banking tasks, user maintenance logs, and vendor onboarding steps to ensure business continuity and audit readiness.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Accounting, Accounts payable and Accounts Receivable teams to ensure accurate cash activity reporting and support month-end and quarter-end close and reconciliation activities.
  • Systems and Processes: Support treasury-related system implementations and process improvement activities leveraging tools and technology more efficiently and effectively.
  • Process Improvement: Continuous improvement efforts including identifying and implementing efficiencies and advancing cross-functional process improvement initiatives.

Internal Control Responsibilities
Supports Internal Control process which includes understanding, communicating, and complying with defined internal controls.
Communicates upward problems in operations, noncompliance with the code of conduct, or other policy violations or illegal actions.
Job Conditions
This position operates in a hybrid work environment, currently three days per week at the company's corporate headquarters in Portland, Oregon and two days remotely, subject to change based on business needs. The role requires the ability to manage competing priorities, meet time-sensitive deadlines, and maintain focus in a busy office setting.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant work experience.
  • Experience working in a finance, accounting, banking, accounts payable, treasury, or administrative support role involving financial data, payment processing, reconciliations, or banking documentation.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel experience, including use of basic formulas, data organization, and pivot tables.
  • Experience entering, reviewing, or reconciling financial or business data with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Experience managing multiple tasks, deadlines, or recurring administrative processes in a professional office environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a corporate treasury, corporate banking, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or clerical finance role.
  • Experience using Kyriba, Oracle, or similar treasury, ERP, banking, or financial systems.
  • Experience supporting process documentation, Standard Operating Procedures, system implementations, or finance process improvement activities.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment
Ability to sit for extended periods of time, up to 3-6 hours per day; be mobile within an office environment; exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or minimal amounts frequently; keyboard for several hours per day; communicate by phone, in person, and in writing in a professional manner. The individual must possess visual acuity to perform close detail work for operating a computer and examining spreadsheets.
