Job description

Opportunity Information:

Job Description: The Treasury Analyst at Worldpac will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day treasury functions, focusing on cash management, liquidity monitoring, banking operations, and financial reporting. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient treasury operations, compliance with corporate policies, and the effective use of the company’s financial resources to meet operational needs and strategic objectives. The Treasury Analyst will report to the Director of Treasury.

Key Responsibilities:

Cash Management & Liquidity:

  • Assist in daily cash management activities to ensure adequate liquidity levels for operational needs.
  • Monitor cash balances across various accounts, identifying any surplus or shortfall, and pooling funds when appropriate.
  • Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports on the global cash position.
  • Support the preparation of cash forecasts by gathering necessary data and updating projections.
  • Assist in analyzing cash flow trends and making recommendations for improved cash management.

Banking & Financing:

  • Assist in coordinating with banks for operational transactions, payments, and transfers.
  • Ensure compliance with banking regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain records of banking transactions and help reconcile accounts.
  • Assist with the administration of supply chain financing programs, including working closely with accounting and accounts payable teams.

Treasury Operations & Systems:

  • Assist with the administration of treasury management systems to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations.
  • Collaborate with IT and finance teams to support system improvements and automation initiatives within treasury processes.
  • Help prepare reports related to cash flow, liquidity, and banking activities.

Financial Reporting & Compliance:

  • Support the preparation of treasury-related financial reports, including cash flow statements, liquidity reports, and other financial metrics.
  • Contribute to the preparation of quarterly and annual reports as related to treasury functions.

Risk Management Support:

  • Assist in monitoring and reporting on treasury-related financial risks, including foreign exchange and interest rate risks.

Process Improvement & Automation:

  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives, including identifying areas for greater efficiency in cash management, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Assist in automating routine treasury tasks to improve operational efficiency.
  • Support the development and documentation of treasury policies and procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy across operations.

Ad-Hoc Support:

  • Provide support for any ad-hoc treasury projects, including special reporting requests or cash management initiatives.
  • Assist the treasury team in coordinating projects and initiatives that improve operational workflows or support strategic business decisions.

Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • 1-3 years of experience in treasury, finance, or accounting roles, preferably with exposure to cash management and banking operations.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in treasury management systems (e.g., Kyriba, SAP Treasury, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
    • Familiarity with financial modeling, cash flow forecasting, and reporting.
  • Strategic & Analytical Skills:
    • Ability to analyze financial data and provide insights to senior treasury staff.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and data management.
  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills:
    • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • Ability to present financial information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Industry Experience:
    • Experience in the automotive, retail, or distribution industry is a plus, but not required.
