Munson healthcare, headquartered in Traverse City Michigan, is seeking excellent hospital employed board certified/board eligible physician candidates to join our team at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City with the opportunity to support other sites across northern Michigan.
As a regional referral center, Munson Medical Center services a broad mix of surgical subspecialties: cardiothoracic surgery (including robotic thoracic and structural heart program), general surgery (level 2 trauma center), orthopedic surgery, spine, ENT, facial plastics, neurosurgery (including IR stroke program), vascular surgery, ophthalmology, obstetrics (including high risk), gynecology, urology, podiatry, and robust robotic surgery program.
Munson Healthcare is northern Michigan's largest and leading healthcare system. Based in Traverse City, Mich., our team of medical experts, award-winning hospitals, and related organizations serve people in 30 counties. Physicians will provide anesthesia in a practice model that combines solo practice performing own cases and medical direction of anesthetists in the care team model.

Qualifications
  • Board Certified/ Board Eligible, cardiac fellowship preferred
  • Mix of Surgical Subspecialties: cardiothoracic surgery (including robotic thoracic and structural heart program), general surgery (level 2 trauma center), orthopedic surgery, spine, ENT, facial plastics, neurosurgery (including IR stroke program), vascular surgery, ophthalmology, obstetrics (including high risk), gynecology, urology, podiatry, and robust robotic surgery program.
  • Physicians across the system provide Supervision to Medical Direction.
  • Candidates should be comfortable with the full range of anesthesia clinical care including cardiothoracic anesthesia, regional techniques, and all surgical subspecialties. TEE experience is welcome, but not required. Requests written consultation from physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure appropriate and quality patient care
