Position Summary
The Sales Representative - Rental Services is responsible for generating rental revenue and sales leads within an assigned geographic territory. This role focuses on developing customer relationships, identifying new opportunities at job sites, and promoting Quinn's rental equipment and services while maintaining profitability and fleet utilization goals.
Wages
Wages: $70,000 - $125,000 (Base + Commission)
Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Canvas assigned geographic territory to generate rental revenue and sales leads from existing and prospective customers
  • Visit job sites to identify new opportunities and contact contractors to obtain customer information for follow-up
  • Maintain current call lists and rental agreement lists for job-site follow-ups
  • Communicate qualified lead information to Account Managers and the Rental Manager
  • Generate customer interaction reports and enter information into internal systems
  • Determine appropriate call frequency based on customer needs, volume, and business requirements
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Quinn products, services, features, and applications
  • Maintain competitive awareness of rental rates, terms, strengths, weaknesses, and value comparisons
  • Plan customer contacts and activities to maximize efficiency and productivity
  • Assist in meeting fleet time, utilization, and financial utilization objectives
  • Rent equipment on a profitable basis as measured by gross profit on rental contracts
  • Work safely at all times and comply with company safety policies, procedures, and standards

Qualifications
  • High school diploma required
  • Valid California driver's license in good standing and willingness to travel
  • Sales or rental background in construction and/or industrial equipment preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of construction equipment and applications
  • Ability to comprehend equipment specifications, pricing, and reference materials
  • Ability to perform common sales calculations accurately
  • Proven track record in outside sales and customer development
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to influence sales and rental transactions
  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to maintain consistent attendance
