Southeast General Construction, Inc., is seeking an experienced Traveling Project Manager to join our team! SEGC specializes in ground up construction and renovations of banking facilities throughout Southeastern United States
The Project Manager reports directly to the Director of Construction, and is responsible for the overall management of various ground ups and renovation projects from the permitting phase through project completion. Renovation types include ADA renovations, general finish renovations (carpet, tile, paint, etc), and ATM additions, among others, throughout the state of Maryland and neighboring states.
The successful candidate will coordinate subcontractors, office staff and vendors as needed to ensure project completion, while keeping management apprised of job progress. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Attend project meetings, meets with customers/clients to discuss bid status, present proposals, negotiate bids, and present/solve problem issues. Perform job walks to observe any field conditions that may affect the construction, impact the prospective bid, and/or pre-construction designs and build services
  • Ensure that quality control meets Company standards
  • Represent the best interests of the Company with all parties involved during the execution of assigned projects
  • Ensure that each assigned project is run efficiently to maximize profitability, remains on schedule and within budget
  • Manage the change order process including performing estimates when needed, conferring with Superintendents to recommend solutions, discuss changes with customer, proposing pricing, and negotiate final change order prices.
  • Act as a liaison between the Company, owners and any other parties involved as necessary to discuss project status, determine client satisfaction, and take immediate action to respond to any problem areas
  • Establish a professional relationship with the customer and interface constantly to maintain accurate status reports and project reviews
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Above average knowledge of construction practices and trades
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting construction documents, The Building Code, and ADA requirements
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PROCORE other tools used for communication and presentation purposes.
  • MUST have the flexibility to work outside normal work hours/weekends, as required
  • MUST have dependable transportation and valid driver's license
  • Experience in LEED Construction is a PLUS
  • Must be team-oriented and capable of working effectively with a wide variety of people
  • Experienced managing multiple construction projects and professional staff
  • Possess the ability to develop and cultivate new business relationships and opportunities
  • Must present a positive, professional image and have excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Must have the ability to work independently, be self-directed and able to take the initiative in seeking efficiencies of processes
