Job description

Hexagon's Aerospace & Defense division is looking for a Project Manager, to join our high-tech engineering and manufacturing company that is committed to customer service excellence and continuous improvement. You will work with a talented team of Engineers and Designers to lead the detailed planning and execution of a variety of complex technology projects. Drawing on your high caliber project management skills and experience, you will provide leadership, and support strategic initiatives to move our products and processes forward.  If you are adept at leveraging relationships and influencing others, we would love to talk to you.

The Location:This position is based in Calgary, Alberta.

As a Project Manager, responsibilities include:

  • Orchestrate and guide alignment between different stakeholders in multiple business groups
  • Provide leadership on product development projects by directing the project schedule, scope, cost and quality to deliver exceptional products aligned with business needs
  • Effectively collaborate with key groups and cross-functional development teams to ensure project success using project planning, monitoring and control activities
  • Proactively monitor, control, communicate, and respond to project issues and risks

Must-Have:

  • Post-secondary education in Engineering or Computer Science
  • PMP or equivalent designation or relevant work experience will be considered in lieu
  • Solid understanding of project management methodologies
  • 5 years' minimum combined product development and project management experience
  • Experience working in a product development environment
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate work in a cross-functional, cross-site team
  • Strong interpersonal skills for fostering productive relationships and creating a collaborative working atmosphere
  • Able to analyze, communicate, and address complex issues
  • Confident working directly with customers on a wide range of topics
  • Valid passport for international business travel
