Job Title: Traveling Construction Laborer
Job Description

We are seeking a Traveling Construction Laborer for a geotechnical construction company in the Knoxville area. While some projects are local, employees must be willing to report to the shop daily and travel throughout the Southeast based on project needs. Carpooling opportunities are available with other crew members, and hotel and per diem are provided. Geotechnical experience is preferred but not required. Candidates with fast-paced construction labor experience, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with drilling operations to install grout, anchors, or reinforcement systems into the ground.
  • Support crews with installing micropiles, soil nails, ground anchors, and other foundation-support systems.
  • Work in a physically demanding role that requires outdoor labor in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and high-noise environments.
Essential Skills
  • Experience in construction labor, particularly in fast-paced environments.
  • Ability to operate hand tools and skid steer equipment.
  • Experience with drilling machines, foundation construction, and geotechnical drilling.
  • Capability to perform physically demanding tasks.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Geotechnical construction work experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of soil stabilization techniques.

Work Environment

Expect to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and noisy job site environments. The typical workday begins at 7 am, with 10-12 hour shifts from Monday through Friday, with rare weekend work.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
