Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CVICU Night position requiring a compact or OK RN license and a minimum of two years of ICU experience.

Details
  • Work in the Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) of a hospital setting
  • 13-week travel assignment
  • Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 18:45 to 7:15
  • Every other weekend required
  • May float to MSICU, Neuro ICU, or Burn ICU as needed with brief unit orientation provided
Requirements
  • Active RN license (Oklahoma or Compact) required at time of consideration
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant RN experience required
  • Epic charting experience preferred
  • Skilled in IV therapy, arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care, and PICC line management
  • Experience with ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP, and chest tube insertion/removal assistance
  • Experience managing CVVHD/CRRT and acute/chronic renal failure patients
  • Experience titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, and administering continuous IV sedation
  • Experience with CVA/acute stroke management and cardiac dysrhythmia interpretation and management
  • Experience with Impella and sheath removal
  • Experience managing multisystem organ dysfunction/failure patients
  • Experience with IV insulin protocols
Additional Information
  • Provide critical care nursing to cardiovascular ICU patients, including hemodynamic monitoring and emergency response
  • Navy scrub color required
  • Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be considered
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Former staff members must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
  • No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
