Job description

TNAA TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Spokane, Washington.

Beds: 12 beds, 3 ORs, 2 OB ER rooms
Will you accept a traveler with 1-year experience? No, 2 years minimum required
Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes
Required Licensure & Certifications:  Licensure: BLS, NRP, EFM    
Skills required:   IUPC, FSE, IV starts, circulating C-sections
Floating: Postpartum and NICU (for level 2 newborns)
Patient Types: High risk and low risk ante-partum, intra-partum pregnant women. Immediate postpartum, stabilization of normal newborn. Couplet care
Patient Ratios: 1:1 High risk; Normally 1:2, Will follow AWHONN guidelines
Support on the Unit:
CNA: No CNA's, OBT scrub and assist with vaginal delivery recoveries
Receptionist/HUC: 24/7
Charge nurse: 24/7
Phlebotomy? If needed, RNs draw and lab is available as needed
IV/VAT Team? If needed.
Resource Nurse. No, charge RN is resource
RT Yes, with NICU
Hospitalist Yes
Telemetry monitoring: centralized EFM, tele efm, cardiac tele Yes
Technology/Equipment:
EMR: EPIC
IV pumps: Baxter
Medication dispensing: Pyxis
Monitors: Fetal monitoring system: GE/Centricity. Phillips EFM/tele
Orientation: Usually 2-3 shifts, depending on RNs competency and comfort
Scheduling:
Weekend rotation: Every other
On call? If so, what is that schedule? Only on call if it's your scheduled shift and you are called off due to low census
Holiday Expectations: One holiday possible
Shift times: 1900-0730, 0700-1930
Schedule cycle: Sunday - Saturday
Scrub Color: Dark blue, provided by hospital
Parking: Free is designated areas
